Art Incognito is an annual Fall fundraiser for the Vancouver Island School of Art that includes a silent auction of work by known and not-so-known artists from Victoria and surrounding area. The sale of all artwork starts with an opening bid of $100. This fundraiser gives people the opportunity to buy some fantastic works of art and contribute to the continued success of the school. Many people have described Art Incognito as ‘the most fun event of the year’ –the evening has included live music and a fantastic array of savoury and sweet delectables as well as an assortment of beer and wine.
The Vancouver Island School of Art relies on tuition as the sole source of revenue, so the annual Art Incognito fundraiser has proven to be an excellent way to bring in additional funds. All money raised from this event goes directly towards the purchasing of new equipment and resource materials.
The 2010 Art Incognito event will take place on Friday, September 10th.
